UPPER WARRILL WEED MANAGEMENT

The riverine landholders in the Upper Warrill Creek district of the Bremer Catchment were concerned about an infestation of Giant Reed which was choking and spreading in the upper reaches of Warrill Creek.  A weed management plan was created in response.

The Bremer Catchment Association obtained funding from SEQ Catchments.  Local landholders are contributing their labour, the funding is providing chemical, and the BCA’s spray units are being utilised to control the weed.

Cleared areas are to being revegetated with suitable native species.
