- Due to severe weather events, there are multiple closures to facilities including walking tracks and water activities. Affected parks: Walkabout Creek Discovery Centre
- As a result of accumulated rainfall and the current forecast, all areas of Mount Barney National Park including the Mt Maroon section is temporarily closed. This includes all walking tracks, summit routes and remote bush campsites. Affected parks: Mount Barney National Park
- As a result of recent rainfall and subsequent wet conditions, some facilities of Main Range National Park remain closed. Affected parks: Main Range National Park
- Due to the likely occurrence of further rainfall over the weekend, all mountain bike trails within Daisy Hill Conservation Park are temporarily closed to avoid unnecessary damage. Affected parks: Daisy Hill Conservation Park
- The gas BBQ's in the day use area at Mt French (Frog Buttress) are out of order due to damaged wiring. Please bring your own portable gas cooking equipment. Open fires are prohibited. Repairs will be undertaken as soon as possible. Affected parks: Moogerah Peaks National Park

- Major scaling works have begun in Burleigh Head National Park, as Queensland Parks and Wildlife Service (QPWS) and contractors begin the complex task of the safe removal of almost 30 boulders and other debris from the slope above the popular Oceanview Walking Track.
- Ecologists from the Department of Environment and Science (DES) and researchers from the University of Newcastle, Southern Cross University, CSIRO and the South Australian Museum have uncovered a new species of mountainfrog; Philoria knowlesi, in Queensland’s south-east, and are now working to protect its habitat.
- A two-metre crocodile that was hanging around a caravan park and boat ramp at Kurrimine Beach in far north Queensland has been removed from the wild.
- The Queensland Parks and Wildlife Service (QPWS) is reminding visitors to obey all temporary closures for their own safety, as rangers ramp up recovery efforts in Burleigh Head National Park following the severe rainfall and floods in February.
- Poor behaviour in national parks and State forests is putting lives at risk, with the Queensland Parks and Wildlife Service (QPWS) issuing 21 fines over the Easter weekend in the Lockyer Valley and at Main Range.
